Install sources were exclusively kde4 repositories from Opensuse 10.3. Since around RC1, kded4 services needs to be started manually. Also dolphin would not work. for KDE4.0.0 release made clean install: - delete .kde4 - delete all kde4 rpm's - fresh install via 1 click from opensuse kde4 site still the same issue with kded4 services and dolphin. found out that libsoprano4 needs to be a recent version (> 2.x) in order to run kde4 services.
