[Bug 1089333] New: DHCP leases acquired in the initrd are not carried over into the sysroot
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1089333 Bug ID: 1089333 Summary: DHCP leases acquired in the initrd are not carried over into the sysroot Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem Assignee: daniel.molkentin@suse.com Reporter: fvogt@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- If the initrd acquires a DHCP lease (e.g. for nfs root), the booted system has two IP addresses. This is because dracut configures the interface with wicked with a generated UUID and later the booted system uses a different UUID. As a result, the original DHCP lease acquired during the initrd phase is never renewed, causing issues. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
