If you submit your fixed package there you will see if the maintainers are fine with a 'simple' version update for the package for 12.1 or prefer to only take the relevant fix. If they accept it, we can ask here the maintainace team here for an online update. As you might know, kmess is not in the Suse 11.4 standard-Repository, so no real alternative. Pidgin is but I don't know whether it uses libmsn. So the question is: Is there any working Alternative to a broken Kopete that does not require setting up / using OBS-Repos?
