Steps: 1. Open Terminal. a. (optional): Go to text file path (for my case, /opt/PHPStorm/bin). 2. enter xdg-su -u root -c "Gedit phpstorm.sh" a. {{Enter Password}} 3. Maximize Gedit window... Wait for it... Boom, Gnome crashed after ~1min of hanging.
