I am not completely sure what exactly to test, so let me double check: I found a repository called http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/driver:/wireless/openSUSE_Factory and under noarch/ there a package called iwl4965-ucode-4.44.1.18-8.59.noarch.rpm dating back to Septembe Is it this package you'd like me to install and then test with the current kernel, kernel-default-2.6.31-5.2.x86_64? Via FACTORY I have iwl4965-ucode-228.57.2.23-2.5.noarch installed, which looks like a very, very different version (4.44 vs 228.57) so I thought it's best to check with you first what exactly to test. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Interestingly, I could have sworn that earlier versions of 2.6.31 (until two weeks ago, say) had worked.
I have upgraded the iwl4965-ucode package to the latest version 228.61.2.24 in the hardware project [1]. If it solves your problem I will submit it to the Factory. The supplemets are atm problematic, for 11.2, we could manually add the pci ids of the iwl packages so that there's no regression, in the future this should be auto-generated somehow (what is basically needed is a mapping of firmware files to drivers). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
