The version available in the repo is 319.17. The version available for download is as a *.bin is 319.32. This updated ads support for a couple of new GPU's. I have one that on the new GPU list. If I do install the driver X will crash and will only work in failsave mode. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install nVidia drive out repo 2. Run nvidia-xconfig 3. Try to restart x. Actual Results: X Will not start. On boot it will hang on the splash screen Expected Results: Computer starts normal after installation and the graphics are smother. Only on the nVidia GTX7xx(m) series. Human lifetime, geology... Unfortunately this is not the first time a new release of openSUSE came out and the Nvidia drivers were not ready. I mean... a couple of days delay... fine, but not several weeks. I really need to upgrade my dad's machine and that cannot be done if the system doesn't have access to a driver repository that stays intact for the whole lifetime of the release. It's bad enough that the 12.1 folder on nvidia.com miraculously vanished. That seems to have broken things. I've tried to do a forced reinstall of all the G03 packages using zypper, but that bombs due to some 'uvm' module. libGL.so is not updated in that process. For now I've removed all nvidia-related rpm packages and reinstalled 331.20 (nvidia .run installer). This libGL can't be from the RPM, since libGL.so* is packaged to /usr/X11R6/lib64 in order not to conflict with Mesa's libGL in /usr/lib64.
