The compromise we had achieved then was to omit those WM titles. In that case, some WMs choose to use other window properties such as WM_CLASS which happens to be "qt" for yast2-qt dialogs, which in turn cannot be changed from the outside once a Qt program is started. It's a bit of a nightmare, and I'd like to spare you all the gory details.
