that's situation
opensuse 10.3 ndiswrapper 1.52 (from packman) all works able to connect.
opensuse 11.0 beta 3 ndiswrapper 1.52 (oss) able to connect only to no protected or to wep ssid
my access point is a fonera and with suse 11 i'm able to connect only to my public ssid not to the private one (the have a wpa-psk)
i'm attach /var/log/wpa_supplicant.log and /var/log/NetworkManager

the problem is (k)Networkmanager. not able to autoidentify the right wpa... to connect i do that:
Yes and no. It is correct that KNM does not autoidentify the right wpa-settings but if you do not specify any specific setting the decision is up to wpa_supplicant. This works for my ipw2200 and iw4965 (and I guess for nearly every card that has a native driver). One problem arises when KNM chooses the wpa settings: If you have multiple APs in the same ESS (i.e. the same ESSID) with different wpa-ciphers (one uses CCMP and one TKIP) no roaming between these would be possible.
