[Bug 675376] New: zypper counts number of packages wrong
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=675376 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=675376#c0 Summary: zypper counts number of packages wrong Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: RC 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b10) Gecko/20110121 Firefox/4.0b10 If I do a zypper dup and there are 100 packages to download zypper starts with 1/100 to download and not install. If one interrupts zypper while downloading let's say at 30/100 and then restarts it with a new zypper dup it starts again at 1/100 yet it finishes downloading and starts installing after 70/100. So my guess is that it does not take into account the already downloaded packages. We consider a cached package something to download. Just that the download happens faster. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

That would also make the numbers look correctly, as the list would not only state e.g. 20 of 100 and then end but show 100 of 100 where the first 80 were cached and thus downloaded from the cache. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
