If I empty .mozilla directory, I can start Firefox. If I go back to Firefox 3.5.9 with my original .mozilla, I can start Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual Results: Messages in console: firefox Gtk-Message: (for origin information, set GTK_DEBUG): failed to retrieve property `GtkTreeView::odd-row-color' of type `GdkColor' from rc file value "((GString*) 0xb14a33c0)" of type `GString' Gtk-Message: (for origin information, set GTK_DEBUG): failed to retrieve property `GtkTreeView::odd-row-color' of type `GdkColor' from rc file value "((GString*) 0xb1434120)" of type `GString' *** nss-shared-helper: Shared database disabled (set NSS_USE_SHARED_DB to enable). It's almost impossible for me to find out what's happening with your old profile as it could be almost everything. In case you are familiar with debugging/gdb you might be able to send us a backtrace when Firefox is hanging. I found later release in 3.5 branch. So I installed 3.5.10. When changed from rel 3.5.9 to 3.5.10 I get a crash, but I could continue anyway.
