When I record sound with 'arecord -D hw:0,2 -f S32_LE -c 2 out.wav' then it records properly, but through pulseaudio there is no input. There is no input device listed in sound settings and pavucontrol. Please give alsa-info.sh output on your machine (run with --no-upload option and attach it to bugzilla). Note that hw:0,2 is an alternative recording stream. For testing with the raw ALSA layer, use hw:0,0. I can't record from hw:0,0 even with pasuspender, on the other I can't record with pasuspender even from hw:0,2 which works without it.
You get an error from pasuspender or you get only silence while recording?
