[Bug 431340] New: /mounts/mp_0002 mount point disappears
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=431340 Summary: /mounts/mp_0002 mount point disappears Product: openSUSE 11.1 Version: Beta 2 Platform: i386 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: aschnell@novell.com ReportedBy: adrian@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com CC: locilka@novell.com, cthiel@novell.com, kmachalkova@novell.com, dmacvicar@novell.com Found By: --- The sympton is that during installation all kind of packages fail in %post, because /mounts/mp_0002 does not exist, but is still part of the mtab. This mountpoint disappears when switching from user/password mask to the proposal mask. This happens with a pre Beta2 build on i586 only (not seen on x86_64). It did not happen with builds from monday. I was only testing it in vmware so far. The image can be found in /mounts/dist/install/openSUSE-11.1-Beta2-DONTUSE/ in a second. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Or got the copy "bug" fixed and makes this problem just visible now ? The umount is done via direct glibc call most likely, because mtab stays untouched and keeps the entry. So, the unmount itself is not a problem, but that it stays in mtab. If the mount binary would be called it would be fixed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
