[Bug 939594] X11 fails to start after second boot
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=939594 http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=939594#c27 --- Comment #27 from Dominique Leuenberger <dimstar@opensuse.org> --- TEsted with a slight modified version of X to get some output on what the permissions on /dev/tty7 actually are like when it can't gain access to the device. Not surprisingly, they are:
crw--w---- 1 root tty 4, 7 Oct 2 16:57 /dev/tty7
which makes sense that the user 'bernhard' (as used by openQA) does not have access using X to this device. The point, though: Oct 02 16:57:49 linux-krzz /usr/lib/gdm/gdm-x-session[1655]: (++) using VT number 7 Oct 02 16:57:49 linux-krzz /usr/lib/gdm/gdm-x-session[1655]: (II) systemd-logind: took control of session /org/freedesktop/login1/session/_31 confirmed that systemd-logind was able to acquire the permission of the needed devices. Or this should not have happened at all.. so we seem to be fighting 'something' changing permissions of /dev/tty7 back to root, breaking the startup process. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
