[Bug 1157909] New: The Leap 15.2 JeOS image is not able to connect when using with OVH
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1157909 Bug ID: 1157909 Summary: The Leap 15.2 JeOS image is not able to connect when using with OVH Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Cloud:Tools Assignee: public-cloud-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: kyrylo.shatskyy@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I'm trying to use image: openSUSE-Leap-15.2-JeOS.x86_64-15.2-OpenStack-Cloud-Snapshot17.3.qcow2 which I've taken from: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/15.2/live/appliances/ The server's got created, the ip address assigned, but network interface is not available: I cannot ping or ssh on the host. If I provide user-data the script is executed by cloud-init and password is set to root user as I requested. After login from the console via openstack web ui I can see that eth0 interface exists but no ifcfg script present for it. The `ip route` output is empty. If I try to run `ifup eth0` I've got: wicked: skipping eth0 interface: no configuration provided wicked: ifup: no matching interfaces Following can be observed in /var/log/cloud-init-output.log: ===cut=== Cloud-init v. 19.1 running 'init-local' at Wed, 27 Nov 2019 13:55:05 +0000. The sync was attempted, but the cloud-init package in SLE violates packaging rules and so got declined: https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/751858
