If this is not your production box and you can experiment with it you can try to install the latest NetworkManager 0.7.1 from [1]. Just download the GNOME:Factory.repo file and add it to your repositories with "zypper ar GNOME:Factory.repo". Then install the NetworkManager from this repo. You will have to install the gtk2 from this repo to resolve the dependency for nm-applet (if you are using Gnome). I have tested it and it works for me on Gnome. You can also use the 1-click install from [2]. Be sure that you have installed all updates before (yast-software-online_update).
