System: kmail from kde4/factory/Desktop, but it also didn't work with the former versions. For test use I created a new user with a new kmailrc. At least one other user got the same problem: http://www.linux-club.de/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=95996&p=580685#p580685 The exact error message is: "No connection to server pop3.web.de: Unknown error."
