[Bug 743634] New: satsolver-tools has missing dependency on /bin/find
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=743634 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=743634#c0 Summary: satsolver-tools has missing dependency on /bin/find Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: stefan.bruens@rwth-aachen.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1 the repo2solv.sh script uses find, so it obviously depends on it. repo2solv.sh is used during the KIWI bootstrap process, which just installs filesystem and zypper + dependencies, which omits find. Without a working repo2solv.sh, plaindir repos are not working (e.g. needed for LTSP extra-packages). For "normal" installations this is no issue, as find is required by aaa_base. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try to build an LTSP image. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

(Dunno if it's submitted, that's normally done by ma@suse.de)
satsolver-tools is no longer built in 12.1/Factory, so the maintenance request is bogus. (Also, the packages is called "findutils", not "find"...)
Well, the reason for using "find" instead of "findutils" is that I prefer referring to the function, not the package name. In this case, both work, as findutils provides find. Is there any guideline which is preferred for openSUSE? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
