https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=209385 ------- Comment #11 from dobey@ximian.com 2006-11-10 08:33 MST ------- The fix isn't in tango or gnome-icon-theme. And I don't know why those apps have self-installed icons either. They aren't self-installed upstream, except for maybe eog. If there are icons in hicolor and they aren't showing up, this sounds like a bug in either the packaging or KDE to me, not the icon themes. Most all of these apps should be using icon names from the naming spec anyway, but I imagine they aren't updated to do so yet, and the icon themes under KDE don't provide those names. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=209385 ------- Comment #16 from felix.rommel@web.de 2007-04-11 14:54 MST ------- Is this bug related with bug 226528? These problems are still there in openSUSE 10.3 Alpha with updates 2007-04-10... I think a good visual experience is very important and missing (Tango) icons in KDE apps do not look very professional! Haven't installed openSUSE 10.2 any more but for 10.3 Alpha it seems nothing has happened in the last 5 months... Is it that hard to solve this problem?? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.

Within the actual KDE menus, two apps still show up with vanilla document icons: gedit (Utilities>Editor>gedit) and gnome-database-properties-3.0 (Utilities>Desktop>Database Access Properties). This is on x86_64; YMMV. Several other apps, mostly capplets, lack icons if you browse /usr/share/applications in Konqueror, but that's a different issue and arguably not a bug. Since this is still relevant (if less relevant than it once was), I'm moving it to openSUSE 11.0. With only two apps still affected in 10.3, I'm dropping the severity to Minor. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
