is this patch also in 2.6.26? No this is a cleanup patch for cpufreq. With some luck it helps for the (very specific) HW problem which seem to affect some ThinkPad models sometimes.

there is some stuff... (idle=poll,mwait,halt) This is about processor sleep states, not cpufreq. You refer to power saving regressions seen on 11.0 on some machines? idle=mwait may help if mwait got switched off for HW detection reasons, but this is unrelated to this bug.
