[Bug 997440] New: Net install Beta 0164 : Extra empty 156MB partition without file system created by whole disc partitioning guide
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=997440 Bug ID: 997440 Summary: Net install Beta 0164 : Extra empty 156MB partition without file system created by whole disc partitioning guide Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation Assignee: yast2-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: david@kronlid.net QA Contact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- During the installation of OpenSUSE Beta Build 0164 from Net install CD I choose to remove the partitions of a SSD with Windows, I choose the guide mode to get everything removed and let OpenSUSE guide create the content on the SSD. I choose encrypted LVM, and the guide suggested BTRFS and XFS inside it. The guide created 2 partions with 156MB, the first one for /boot with vfat, the second one without mount point and without file system. Inside the LVM it created the normal stuff (/home and /) Later during the installation process when the second empty partition of 156MB was supposed to get created it got rejected with an error message. I don't know why this second 156MB partition was scheduled to be created, nor why it later got rejected during the actual creation process. The guide never specified what it was supposed to be used for. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
