He told me that scim works fine on all other apps but it stopped working for pidgin suddenly and he had to restart pidgin to get it working with scim again. I just hit this w/ gnome-panel (the search input area in add to panel dialog) too. It's very strange. shift-space (Korean input toggle) doesn't do anything. It's like there's no IM attached. Just English inputs. Selecting Korean from the SCIM applet doesn't make any difference either. However, if I input some characters using SCIM Input Pad, they go to the previous window which had focus. Another interesting thing is that if I right click in the input area and change the IM to SCIM instead of SCIM bridge, it works again. This happens only occasionally so I'll try to keep the panel running. Fabian, this one falls in your turf too, right?
