[Bug 872589] New: autoyast label:=//xyz ignores USB sticks
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=872589 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=872589#c0 Summary: autoyast label:=//xyz ignores USB sticks Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: AutoYaST AssignedTo: autoyast-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: novell@hollants.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 According to http://doc.opensuse.org/projects/autoyast/Invoking.html#invoking_autoinst (and the other various sources of information), one should be able to specify autoyast=label://foo/bar.xml and have the AutoYast control file "bar" picked up from a device with a filesystem with the specified label, ie. "foo". The documentation does not make any statements about being restricted to certain classes of devices, suggesting that USB sticks should be supported as well. However it seems that the USB stick is not found. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Attach a USB stick, eg. with ext4 filesystem and label "foo" and Autoyast control file "bar.xml" on it. 2. Start Installation from eg. DVD and specify "autoyast=label://foo/bar.xml". Actual Results: Yast displays an error message "Während der Suche nach dem AutoYAST-Profil wurde kein Label gefunden" (no label found) Expected Results: Yast finds the profile on the USB stick. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
