This update made some changes and seems to have resolved this issue. Previously the "nginx.vim" syntax file was in the "vim-plugin-nginx" RPM: rpm -qf /usr/share/vim/vim82/syntax/nginx.vim vim-plugin-nginx-1.21.3-1.3.noarch rpm -ql vim-plugin-nginx /usr/share/licenses/vim-plugin-nginx /usr/share/licenses/vim-plugin-nginx/LICENSE /usr/share/vim/vim82/ftdetect /usr/share/vim/vim82/ftdetect/nginx.vim /usr/share/vim/vim82/ftplugin/nginx.vim /usr/share/vim/vim82/indent/nginx.vim /usr/share/vim/vim82/syntax/nginx.vim Now, after updating, that file is in this RPM: rpm -qf /usr/share/vim/vim82/syntax/nginx.vim vim-data-8.2.3582-1.1.noarch I assume this change was made per this update entry: * Fri Nov 05 2021 Ond��ej S��kup <mimi.vx@gmail.com> - Updated to version 8.2.3582, fixes the following problems ... - add obsolete/conflict with nginx vim plugin or maybe: * Fri Oct 22 2021 Ond��ej S��kup <mimi.vx@gmail.com> - Updated to version 8.2.3552, fixes the following problems ... * nginx files are not recognized.
