It is recommended by plasma5-workspace, and provides a plugin so Qt4 software is "transformed" into KSNI (as XEmbed support has been dropped in Plasma 5) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=908358 --- Comment #10 from Johannes Meixner <jsmeix@suse.com> --- Hrvoje Senjan, very many thanks for your efforts and your contribution! Because I have no knowledge about KDE or Qt internals I cannot decide whether or not your patches are o.k. - in particular I cannot decide whether or not your patches are sufficiently backward compatible so that HPLIP still works (at least in a reasonable way) also on older openSUSE versions because I provide HPLIP via the openSUSE "Printing" project also for openSUSE 13.1 12.3 12.2 12.1 and SLE11-SP3 SLE11-SP2 SLE11-SP1 SLE11. (FYI: I even do not use any desktop like KDE or Gnome, I use X with a plain windowmanager). It does not work well when issues that are not specific for openSUSE would be fixed at openSUSE by patches. The only real solution for general issues is to fix them at the matching upstream project together with the upstream authors so that all Linux users benefit from your contribution. Please submit your patches to upstream HPLIP so that there is a direct communication between you and the upstream authors. As far as I know one cannot attach files to launchpad questions like https://answers.launchpad.net/hplip/+question/258609 Therefore you may have to submit a new bug report via http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/support.html because one can attach files to Launchpad bug reports. Please post an URL of your upstream bug report here as reference. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
