[Bug 1189817] New: ctrl-d hardcoded on desktop?
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1189817 Bug ID: 1189817 Summary: ctrl-d hardcoded on desktop? Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 15.2 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: lnussel@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I'm using a classic desktop with icons in kde plasma. Every once in a while icons seemed to have vanished after I finished a work day and turned the computer on the next day. Finally I found out why. Before shutting down I usually close all my terminals using ctrl-d. If for some reason I press that too often, the focus might be on some desktop icon which then gets deleted. I couldn't find a way to turn off ctrl-d in the keyboard shortcut module. Is it hardcoded somehow? Could that be turned off please? :-) Also, locking the icons does not help :-( -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.

This is overwritten by the plasma-integration plugin in later versions, tracked upstream as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426573. That makes it possible to configure it in the "Standard Shortcuts" settings, as the "Move to Trash" action. The default value is then only the Delete key, not Ctrl-D anymore. Please try with plasma5-integration-plugin from https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/KDE:Frameworks5:LTS:5.18, it should include that change. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
