So then I read the bug report section and did the following: from my test machine (bruce = 128.1.6.99) i tried to get a small testfile (samba_test.txt) from the netapp (jdn-file01 = jdn-na04 = 128.1.1.93) using smbclient. I enabled debugging level 10 for smbclient and did a tcpdump trace while executing the get command. Unfortunately, some of the logging is actually at level 11 for the async code. Is there a chance you could run this with a higher level of debug? say...99? The other question is if it's not too hard, could you try the latest code at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/samba:/STABLE/openSUSE_11... ? However, I don't see changes that I think would fix this, so The higher debug level is more important. You've got it done correctly, because the top of the trace indicates the debug level is 99, and nowhere later is it getting reset. At this point I've got to figure out how to trigger this here, because I do not get the same errors at all.
