The scripts in question are: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-invitations-manager.js:64 chrome://messenger/content/folderPane.js:758 chrome://messenger/content/msgMail3PaneWindow.js:1127 There is a 4th one, but I did not capture the name. # zypper info MozillaThunderbird Loading repository data... The JS in these scripts is most likely innocent as otherwise everyone would see these issues what is not the case. Apart from the mail list thread I don't have more feedback of that kind of issues and I never was able to reproduce. However, Thunderbird without Lightning is not useful to me. I have the following add ons installed: Google Contacts 0.6.40 Lightning 1.4 Lookout 1.2.13 Provider for Google Calendar 0.13 Test Pilot for Thunderbird 1.3.9 TrackerBird 0.12.5 I take it the messages are triggered by some timeout value. Is there a way to manipulate the timeout value? On another box, interestingly enough a box with fewer cores and slower than my main desktop I do not see the messages. Over time there were some reports about that extension to cause massive slowness.
