Meanwhile I updated to OOo 3.0.0.3.6 and the same bug appears still and again.- But now I have difficulties to install a backtrace-programm-version as described at http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs:OOo#How_to_get_backtrace. I tried for several hours. I cannot find a debuginfo-version for OOo 3.0.0.3.6. I tried 3.0.0.9-1.4 from OpenSuse 11.1 RC1 (for example OpenOffice_org-writer-debuginfo-3.0.0.9-1.4.x86_64), but this does not work. There are error messages with RPM-conflicts by trying to install. I also tried OpenOffice_org-debuginfo-2.4.0.14-1.1.x86_64, which does not function. I could only find and reinstall/downgrade on OOo 2.4.1.10-2.1, but cannot find for this version a suiting debugversion of OOo. My question: Do I really need an exact debuginfo-version (e.g. OOo 3.0.0.3.6) for my installed OOo-version? Why is the OOo-version 3.0.0.9.4-1.4 only for OpenSuse 11.1 and not for 11.0? I am only a silly user. I don't know and understand this all. :-) I propose for me to wait two weeks until the outcome of the official OpenSUSE 11.1 with this OOo-3.0.0.9.4-1.2-version. I think the bug will appear again and I hope there is then an appropriate OOo-3.0-debuginfo-version for backtracing. This happens only with the gnome-desktop (kde is not installed). Also with a new installed user desktop, OOo under the gnome desktop does not crash (in the described manner). Result: It happens the same crash of openOffice 3.0.0.9.
