After an upgrade to 11.3 s2disk hangs while suspend. For testing I installed the latest 11.2 kernel default (2.6.31.12-0.2-default) from the update/11.2 tree and with this version s2disk and resume works. When I click Hibernate or close the lid, it just freezes in s2disk snapshotting system.
