[Bug 522157] New: NetworkManager disappears from icon-bar after failed VPN login
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=522157 Summary: NetworkManager disappears from icon-bar after failed VPN login Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Milestone 3 Platform: 32bit OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: greg.riedesel@wwu.edu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Beta-Customer I've been attempting to get PPTP-VPN running, and have been failing. When the PPTP session fails to connect, the NetworkManager icon in the icon bar goes away. This makes testing VPN connections of any kind tricky, as that's where you have to right-click to connect. I'm unable to tell if the Cisco VPN (vpnc) is also affected because the vpnc package is currently missing in Factory.
