https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=641893 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=641893#c1 Johannes Meixner <jsmeix@novell.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |DUPLICATE --- Comment #1 from Johannes Meixner <jsmeix@novell.com> 2010-09-28 08:38:57 UTC --- libsane-mustek_usb2 was present up to sane-backends-1.0.20 in openSUSE 11.2 but silently disappeared in sane-backends-1.0.21 in openSUSE 11.3. It should work to install sane-backends-1.0.20 RPMs from openSUSE 11.2 in a openSUSE 11.3 system. Alternatively I would like if you could test our newest sane-backends-1.0.21 RPMs from the openSUSE development project "graphics". Our newest sane-backends-1.0.21 is switched to use "--enable-pthread" instead of the upstream default to use a pipe and fork a new process. This way libsane-mustek_usb2 is again available. The newest sane-backends RPMs for openSUSE 11.3 are available from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/graphics/openSUSE_11.3/ for 32-bit Intel compatible (i586) and 64-bit AMD (x86_64). Do not use FACTORY if your system is openSUSE 11.3. Use the matching packages for your particular system. The packages are * only for testing * without any guarantee or warranty * without any support As an extreme example, this means that if your complete computer center crashes because of these packages, it is only your problem. On the other hand this does not mean that those packages are known to be terrible broken but they are not thoroughly tested so that any unexpected issue can happen. I would be in particular interested to know if mustek_usb2 still works with "--enable-pthread" (I cannot test it on my own because I do not have a scanner which uses mustek_usb2). If you test it, please report whether or not mustek_usb2 still works for you. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 633780 *** http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=633780 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

I was able to install the package, but the scanner can not be found.
