Launch Virt-Manager 2. Click on the "Create a New Virtual Machine" button Actual Results: Crash with the error as described. Expected Results: Proceed to create a new VM with configured details I can't remember if I've actually tried this install method before since upgrading to 12.3. Did work in 12.2 although I prefer "the other way" by way of KDE App Launch button > System > Virtualization > Create Virtual Machine for Xen and KVM" Don't know if this is relevant, Although Xen kernel is installed as an option, am running this factory kernel 3.8.2-1-default virt-install version 0.600.3 virt-manager version 0.9.4 libvirt version 1.0.3-2.1 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The older and original version is called vm-install. The other is called virt-install. Virt-manager on os12.3 allows you to launch either one. Selecting the installer icon on the main virt-manager screen launches vm-install by default. Using this tool requires root privileges. Next to this icon is located a pop-down arrow that displays 'virt-install'. Selecting this allows you to install locally as a non-root user. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
