[Bug 1059990] New: /var/lib/sddm/.config/sddm-greetrc not writable - contact your administrator
http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1059990 Bug ID: 1059990 Summary: /var/lib/sddm/.config/sddm-greetrc not writable - contact your administrator Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.3 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 42.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications Assignee: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: abittner@opensuse.org QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- A normal running opensuse 42.3 x64, long-time server machine, is today presenting me with the above error line on a graphical screen completely black only with that error message in a popup message with "ok" button I have a mouse cursor moving there too, but nothing else. I suppose this would be the kde logon screen, as this message comes up when I issue a systemctl restart display-manager.service I am not that frequently vising the machine and its real hardware screen (ctrl+alt+f7), so I dont know when this started exactly. zypper ref && zypper dup show this machine is current as of now filing this bug. no hardware or software changes except for the opensuse updates. nothing fancy on this side, no new cables, no new peripherals, no new anything. the directory /var/lib/sddm/.config/ seems empty also free diskspace is plenty everywhere. what now? thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
