... A problem occures if these two add the same repo with different names. ...
It's because you should check the repository URL instead of checking the name, Community Repositories can use localized names. The name needn't always match. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

At least I don't even do the check - this is the default behaviour of zypp. Checking the repository URL does not work either, as there currently is no way to identify an update repo url. Yea, I could match for /update/i but this might change, rsynced repos may have a different path and other community repos might also have that string if they maintain their own update repo. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

The problem with the updater applet persists anyhow. A user might even add a number of update sources manually.
Tgoettlicher, ma: is this an applet or a zypp issue?
Don't know exactly how the applet determines the set of patches (zypper?). Obviously the responsible code operates on PoolItems (individual patches) instead of using a Selectable to suppress multiple entries (and also older versions) for the same patch. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Obviously the responsible code operates on PoolItems (individual patches) instead of using a Selectable to suppress multiple entries (and also older versions) for the same patch. Jano, is it possible that zypper doesn't show multiple entries in its output for the updater?
