Cannot load Skim (for Japanese input) in Openoffice. All other applications Skim works successfully. Logging out of KDE 3.5.xx and loadign KDE 4.1.xx desktop Start Openoffice and Skim works perfectly. Log out of KDE 4.xx and back in to KDE 3.5.xx and Skim works perfectly in Openoffice. Do a reboot into KDE 3.5.xx and Skim no longer works in Openoffice again. Have to do the circle of logging out of 3.5.xx into 4.1.xx and back to 3.5.xx to get Skim to work. Any ideas on this. Scim x11 frontend is launched before scim socket server. So scim x11 im module for OpenOffice is unable to get the input method modules list. Here are packages for you to test: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/M17N/openSUSE_11.1/ Please update all scim-bridge packages: scim-bridge, scim-bridge-qt, scim-bridge-gtk. Additionally packages for 64-bit system: scim-bridge-qt-32bit, scim-bridge-gtk-32bit. Closing as fixed. Bug Cause: Scim x11 frontend is launched before scim socket server. So scim x11 im module for OpenOffice is unable to get the input method modules list.
