[Bug 556446] New: Hibernation screen (splashy ?) is not customized with openSUSE theme since RC2
http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=556446#c0 Summary: Hibernation screen (splashy ?) is not customized with openSUSE theme since RC2 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nice@titanic.nyme.hu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; hu-HU; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 SUSE/3.5.4-1.1.2 Firefox/3.5.4 During hibernation (suspending to disk) and recovering from hibernation, I see a sleeping penguin instead of the standard openSUSE theme. This penguin appeared in RC2. RC1 showed the openSUSE theme. I like this penguin, so I dont urge you to replace it, but you may want to know about this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. s2disk 2. turn on Actual Results: penguin Expected Results: green openSUSE theme -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

What happens if you just run 'mkinitrd' ?
Nothing. The penguin remains. However, this may be my personal problem. Sometimes I install packages, which aren't in the default installation, this time for example, both kernel-desktop and kernel-desktop-base was installed I uninstalled kernel-desktop-base and reinstalled kernel-desktop, which incorporated and initrd regeneration, but the penguin remained here, even after restarting the machine. I think you shouldn't care this glitch if you (and some other developers) cannot reproduce it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Is splashy-openSUSE-branding still installed?
Interesting. It was installed, but it changed the suspend to disk (when it goes to sleep) display to openSUSE-themed only after a resinstall. However, the wake up screen is still penguin-themed. Can you reproduce it? If not, I don't urge you to investigate it. However, could you take a look at these: http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=548542 (At least If you haven't commit any patch to any kernel tree yet.) http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=548265 (Marked as shipstopper by Novell personnel, very annoying.) https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=548266 (A bit annoying but not so important for me.) Thank you in advance. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
