[Bug 473176] New: packagekitd does not detect updates installed via YaST online update
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=473176 Summary: packagekitd does not detect updates installed via YaST online update Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: libzypp AssignedTo: zypp-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: Ulrich.Windl@rz.uni-regensburg.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20081213 SUSE/1.1.14-0.1 SeaMonkey/1.1.14 When packagekitd (GNOME) reports that new updates are available, and those updates are installed via "yast online_update", packagekitd does not detect that the updates were installed. If the machine keeps running, and new updates are available, packagekitd still insists to install the old updates if the newly arrived updates were installed using packagekitd Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Wait for online updates while being logged in 2. Use "yast online_update" to install updates 3. Wait for new updates to become available Actual Results: Packagekit reports new updates being available. Packagekit reports these updates being available for installation even if they are already installed. Expected Results: Packagekit should detect which updates are already on the system, at least after a day or so. Logout/Login probably solves the problem, just as a restart of the system does. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
