Again, with ppp0 up:
bash# netconfig update -v [...] debug: write_resolv_conf: '' '' [...]
OK, correct. NetworkManager is exclusive.
I'm using pppd directly, no NM at all (I run rcnetwork stop before). So I guess this is not related to NetworkManager.
