The connection does not get saved and I get no feedback. I'm using KDE4 and just zypper dup-ed today. Note that this latest dup has changed the NetworkManager/KDE4 UI to something which is different than what I got with the ISO DVD. Let me clarify this a bit. I originally opened this using 13.1 RC1, which brought in plasma-nm, and filed this bug for it. Plasma-nm at that time silently ignored my attempts. After updating to later versions of 13.1 it changed back to the old GUI and implementation, and this one crashes. This is tracked upstream at kde#299863.
