Nevertheless the "Format to" pop-up menu in gparted contains only greyed out choices (exxcept hfs). Gparted is works fine when started via: su - gparted The desktop file /usr/share/applications/gparted.desktop tells that gparted is involved via /usr/bin/xdg-su -c /usr/sbin/gparted Post at http://superuser.com/questions/88825/gparted-installed-on-opensuse-shows-all... claimed that gparted is involved with user settings. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Plugin arbitrary drive 2. Fire up gparted via the Application menu 3. Choose some partition from your drive and try a "Format to" from the pop-up menu. Except one all choices are not accessible. Actual Results: Partition can not be formatted.
