https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735225 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735225#c0 Summary: Synaptiks config window always opens maximized Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: mrkfbrn@yahoo.co.nz QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0 Have a clean install of Opensuse 12.1 x86-64 with KDE default 4.7.2 Have checked Synaptiks to auto start at login. Whenever I boot into a new session in KDE the synaptiks window opens maximized. I would expect the default behaviour for this would be for synaptiks to open in the system tray? Another issue - perhaps needs new bug report is that when system goes into sleep / hibernate synaptiks then crashes -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735225 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735225#c3 --- Comment #3 from Mark Fairbairn <mrkfbrn@yahoo.co.nz> 2012-09-10 12:26:07 UTC --- this behaviour persists in 12.2. If selected "automatically start at logon" then config window will open on logon. However, what is different to 12.1 is that if "automatically start at logon" is not selected then synaptik will still start and be present in the system tray and function as it is supposed to. Is this the intended behaviour? If so, then the text "automatically start at logon" is confusing if it is intended for the config window. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

However synaptiks is unmaintained and likely to be re placed by kcm-touchpad with the next version of openSUSE 13.2.So I would like to close the report. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
