[Bug 940895] YaST2 crashing during installation (during partition detection)
http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=940895 http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=940895#c4 Stefan Hundhammer <shundhammer@suse.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flags|needinfo?(shundhammer@suse. | |com) | --- Comment #4 from Stefan Hundhammer <shundhammer@suse.com> --- This should be fixed now with "parted" stderr output no longer being strictly checked. [shundhammer @ morgul] ...yast/libstorage/package 12 % head -n 8 libstorage.changes ------------------------------------------------------------------- Wed Jul 22 17:15:17 CEST 2015 - shundhammer@suse.de - Don't throw exception for all kinds of parted stderr output (bnc#938561, bnc#938572) - 2.25.27 ------------------------------------------------------------------- libstorage6-2.25.27 or later should contain the fix. Notice that this might hide some true errors; "parted" tends to be quite verbose on stderr. Currently, only well-known problems reported there are treated, others are just silently ignored. But that seems to be the great majority of all cases, so we decided to handle it like this and not throw an exception (and thus terminate the installation) for every stderr output from "parted". -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
