Thus, I'd expect those times are actually from creating the image and not from actuall installation. You can uncheck "Installation from Images" during the initial workflow if you do not want this, but traditional rpm install for each package. The problem could be, if the packages you are referring to are not from initial installation, but installed later. "Installation from Images" is documented in the Reference Guide (1.12.9, in SVN). To avoid confusion it would probably help to add a warning about the time stamp of packages that are installed during image deployment.
