At some point booting up is almost frozen. I took a look at console level to see what is going on and there are 6 steps of loading installation system -- each step is 1KB (yes, 1024 bytes) and it takes a bit to load it and even more to wait after 100% of loading is shown -- my guess is there is some uncompressing, but how long can it take to uncompress 1KB chunk of data? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Looks like in your case curl got the size wrong. Apart from that it should be ok. Normally the network CD installation disc contains installer. Now, you are saying that installer (?) is also downloaded on-fly? So what exactly is on the disc? So normally running installer is very fast, _installing_ is slow. In case of opensuse network CD both running installer and installing is slow. The installer is downloaded from the repo location. Never mind the 'invalid'; it just means I see no bug here. Besides, I don't think the installer is slow.
