Administrators have come to expect this as a "standard option" today and rely on it quite often while adding users. This should definitely be a default setting during the new user creation process. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Pretty rough, but ok for now. Obviously not ok for release in the wild. When adding a new user it is indeed now possible to select the forced change of a password. Very good. Please also add it as an option at the "Defaults for new users" so that it can be selected there and never forgotten. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

/etc/default/useradd is for the useradd command, which has no support to set this field. So it would confuse people if we would store it there. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
