[Bug 687404] New: Switching between users results in insecure screen
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=687404 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=687404#c0 Summary: Switching between users results in insecure screen Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: yester64@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 This is a problem i noticed for a while. Here is the problem. If you have two users on a KDE system and you switch from one to another and then back again to the original user, the screen shows a picture of the last session but broken. This it seems is not secure, since anyone trying to login should not see what the user was working on. Instead there should be a blank screen upon entering the password. I use OpenSuse 11.4 with KDE 4.6 (64bit) and have nouveau drivers installed (the ones that came originally). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Log in 2.Switch to enter a another session 3.Switch back to the original user 4.Enter password (screen will be distorted) Actual Results: Screen is visible upon entering password. Expected Results: present a blank screen upon entering password -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
