https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1228210 Bug ID: 1228210 Summary: System Settings hangs when selecting "Night Light" Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Tumbleweed Version: Current Hardware: x86-64 OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE Workspace (Plasma) Assignee: opensuse-kde-bugs@opensuse.org Reporter: m_mlk@yahoo.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Target Milestone: --- Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created attachment 876200 --> https://bugzilla.suse.com/attachment.cgi?id=876200&action=edit System Settings not responding Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240716 KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.4.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 Kernel Version: 6.9.9-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor Memory: 31,3 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 How to reproduce: 1. Launch System Settings 2. Search for "Splash" (screen) 3. Click on "Application Style" -> the accent-colored bar moves from "Splash Screen" to "Application Style" 4. Select "Night Light" -> Both "Application Style" and "Night Light" stay highlighted 5. System Settings goes into "Not Responding" mode. 6. After some time-out, KDE offers to either terminate the application or wait longer. I can reproduce it every time. Selecting other options work fine; it only seems to bomb with "Night Light".
