[Bug 815659] USB stick / hard disk image stops booting at "grub>" prompt or boots only once

Tim Hardeck and I found the root cause. After "dd" the "USB stick / hard disk image" onto a USB stick "fdisk -l" on that USB stick shows that the Linux partition is activated for booting. After the system on that USB stick has booted once, "fdisk -l" on that USB stick shows that the Linux partition is no longer activated for booting. At least my laptops require a partition to be activated for booting so that the USB stick is recognized as bootable device. My current workaround is to manually re-activate the Linux partition for booting on my USB stick.
I haven't seen that on the working system. I'll have to check that out on the unit I'm having trouble with. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
