[Bug 450352] New: s2ram and Acer Aspire 5930
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=450352 Summary: s2ram and Acer Aspire 5930 Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.0 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: zoz@novell.com ReportedBy: sevo@sevo.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Hi! My Acer Aspire 5930 with GeForce 9600 GT is not in the whitelist of s2ram. s2ram -f works nearly perfect on this system. No problems with X, system suspends and resumes without problems. Only starting s2ram -f in textmode results in a black screen after resuming, but system responds anyway. I've installed proprietary nvidia drivers, which cause a black screen after switching to vt1 (Ctrl+Alt+F1), but the s2ram problem occurs when booting with init=/bin/bash or runlevel 3 too, so it's not caused by the nvidia X driver. Output of s2ram -i This machine can be identified by: sys_vendor = "Acer " sys_product = "Aspire 5930 " sys_version = "0100 " bios_version = "V1.21 " Would be nice, if someone could add this machine to the whitelist. For your 11.0 just use S2RAM_OPTS=-f as described on http://en.opensuse.org/Pm-utils#Using_suspend_to_RAM_on_machines_that_are_no... So this is a "WONTFIX" only for 11.0, since for 11.1 it is already fixed. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
