[Bug 634186] New: X server crashes when clicking on a link in firefox
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=634186 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=634186#c0 Summary: X server crashes when clicking on a link in firefox Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: X.Org AssignedTo: bnc-team-xorg-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: lmb@novell.com QAContact: xorg-maintainer-bugs@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: Development Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=385169) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=385169) Xorg.0.log Okay, I realize this is a _weird_ report, okay? I didn't quite expect this either. The attached /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old is reproducible right now for me, which might be the alignment of stars, but it happens when I click on a link in Firefox - go to https://swamp.suse.de/webswamp/swamp/template/DisplayWorkflow.vm/workflowid/34404?template=DisplayWorkflow.vm&workflowid=34404&, unfold the "Show all 2 patchinfo subworkflows", and click on the first one. I have no idea how firefox can do this to my X server, but I've tried thrice. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.

Let me know when you want me to run further tests.
I've updated the f86-video-intel driver to the latest git master version, but honestly I don't think this is going to help. :-(

For some people it helps to update to the 2.6.34.4 kernel we currently prepare as official kernel update for openSUSE 11.3, for some it doesn't. At least it's worth a try. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
